We are seeking a driven Account Manager, who will be located in Chillicothe, OH for our Pulp & Paper segmentThis role supports the application and sales of all chemistries used in paper manufacturing industries as Kemira is an industry leader in assisting our customers, at their locations, in identifying and applying the most effective chemical strategies used in all stages of the paper manufacturing process.

 

The position responsibilities include:

  • Directing the sales process to meeting and exceeding sales and profitability margin targets
  • Developing profitable business within designated accounts(s)
  • Expanding profits, market position and market share
  • Introducing new products and solutions to clients
  • Organizing reports, sales calls and business reviews
  • Preparing short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets
  • Supporting the development of demand forecast in assigned area
  • Retaining long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business
  • Managing trade receivables and delivery/invoicing claims

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent field experience in paper science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, chemical engineering or similar degrees
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20 nights / year)
  • 5+ years experience in the paper industry
  • Preferred experience in the following areas:
    • Printing & writing/ Fine papers/ Pulping/ Coating/ Waste treatment
    • Retention and drainage/silica chemistries
    • Microbiological control
    • General wet-end paper machine applications
    • Sizing in the wet-end and size press
    • Pulp mill and Paper mill defoamer
    • Scale and pitch control applications
    • Raw water treatment
    • Waste water treatment polymer and defoamer applications (WQQM)
    • Strength chemistries
  • Ability to develop account plans and execute with discipline
  • Ability to develop trust based relationships with key buyers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
