Title:  Director, Product Lines, P&P, Americas

We are now looking for an experienced Director, Product Lines, P&P, Americas. The purpose of the role is lead and develop the Product Line organization in North and South America and be accountable for portfolio competitiveness and profitability.  The position is located in our Atlanta, GA office.  The main accountabilities include: 


  • Product line profitability (gross margin) management and steering,
  • Commercial optimization (e.g. pricing strategy and pricing guidance, mix management, make/buy decisions),
  • Long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization,
  • Product line strategy & roadmap, execution and product service levels,
  • Product portfolio & lifecycle management,
  • Operative optimization (incl. input to S&OP process, volume allocation), and 
  • Technical product support
  • Cost control of PL Americas organization.


The role will also be a part of  the Global PLBD management and part of Commercial management in Americas.


What you need: 

  • 8-10+ years of relevant product line and commercial experience, preferably within commercial, manufacturing, finance, business control or management. Ideally Master’s degree in commercial, business, engineering or other relevant field. Relevant technical knowledge is seen as additional benefit
  • Deep commercial leadership and product line optimization experience including product line profitability, and product line strategy and product portfolio & lifecycle management.
  • Very good understanding of sales and technical service operations at Kemira's customer interface
  • Very good understanding of chemical manufacturing and long- term capacity planning and footprint optimization
  • Very good understanding of chemical industry landscape and sourcing processes
  • Demonstrated leadership of operative commercial optimization and technical product support and proven ability to effectively set scope, manage priorities, reach consensus and deliver results within budget
  • Solid expertise in customer operations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and executive level communications (verbal and written) skills
  • Exceptional leadership and competency development focus particularly in complex, international, and cross-functional teams worldwide
