We are now looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join the Human Resource Team. This position is located in Parkwood office in Atlanta, GA. The Human Resource Generalist will provide insights into, solutions for, and administration of one or more of the following functions: benefits, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and typical human resources programs and services. Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation are a must.

 

The responsibilities will include:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, payroll and leave; disciplinary matters; recruiting; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, consulting with the Human Resource Manager on complex  and/or sensitive matters
  • Assist in the development and administration of human resource policies and practices
  • Conducts new employee orientation
  • Participates in the development of department goals/objectives and processes.
  • Conducts employee relations counseling and investigations as well as other employee relations’ activities
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in  human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

What you need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum 5 years progressive Human Resources experience
  • Exposure to various aspects of Human Resources (i.e. recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits)
  • Basic understanding of various state and federal employment laws
  • Possess highly effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; SuccessFactors experience is a plus
