We are currently seeking someone, who will be based from our Atlanta, GA office, to build upon our logistics framework and support our global trade operations in our North America region. The role would require an expert in the field of import and export operations and someone who has relevant past experience with managing delivery flows across the global continents.  This person would also manage local customs brokers operationally together with our Global Maritime Sourcing Managers.  With the current market situation, the right fit would be a person that could work to improve lane optimizations and transit performance in this complex market.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage local customs broker in accordance with Global broker agreement
  • Ensure customs broker compliance and performance to Kemira standard KPIs
  • Work collaboratively with Global Maritime Sourcing on contract bids and lane optimizations
  • Manage local team of import and export coordinators
  • Work collaboratively with PSRA, regulatory compliance, while supporting requirements for documentation on their behalf through the local team
  • Create standard operating procedures and guidelines for intercontinental and border crossing supply models
  • Lead and participate in process development or required regulatory changes
  • Work collaboratively with Kemira business to design and reengineer supply lanes and models using expertise and knowledge of NA ports and transportation infrastructures

What you need: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; four year Bachelor degree beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years proven foreign trade experience
  • Industry certifications a plus
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite; SAP a plus
  • Problem solving, analytical, strong judgment and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across Kemira business segments and functions
