Title:  Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team working on supporting capital projects in the Industry and Water segment. The  work will be mainly within North America, but mobility for occasional global travel (Europe and Asia) is required. The base location for this role is flexible. The location can either be at our head office (Atlanta, Georgia) ,at a Kemira Industrial & Water manufacturing sites in the US /Canada or a location that allows for easy travel. You will provide process engineering expertise at all stages of the project from initial conceptual, basic engineering, through to project execution and commissioning. This will involve close working with both internal and external resources. You will be a key part of a team ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time/budget and meet Kemira’s operational requirements. You will provide expert knowledge/guidance to Industrial & Water sites, lead the preparation of best practice documentation/ standards and assist sites in problem solving/debottlenecking tasks/process improvement evaluations. Kemira’s manufacturing facilities are batch processing.

What you need:
•    Preference for degree in process and/or chemical engineering.
•    Candidates with other engineering degrees and significant process engineering experience will also be considered.
•    Professional experience (> 5 years) in similar role in the chemical / process , petrochemical or contracting industries.
•    Experience of managing CAPEX projects.
•    Experience of working on conceptual and basic engineering studies.
•    Experience of working with external design engineers, consultants, suppliers, contractors and EPC/EPCM contractors.
•    Experience of leading and participating in PHA or HAZOP studies. 
•    Experience in chemical production process, plant operation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up.
•    Very good communication and cooperation skills cross-functional and within a team.
•    Travel requirements is anticipated between 25% to 50% depending on project phases. But, at times of plant commissioning and start-up this will increase.
•    Experience in process controls automation would be an asset. Kemira has mainly Siemens and Allen Bradley systems in NA. Experience of batch manager systems would be an         asset.
•    Experience of process equipment and instrumentation selection is a plus.
