We are now looking for an experienced Sr. Specialist in the Applications Equipment Team for our Pulp & Paper Segment. Our Sr. Application Specialists are familiar with influencing both internal and external stakeholders, often collaborating with team members, clients, and our equipment suppliers. Demonstrating your mechanical skills and digital acumen is a daily function of this role.  You are a self-starting problem solver and your style of working is results-oriented. Your strong planning and organizational skills allow you to effectively manage multiple projects. Your exceptional verbal communication skills and service mindset makes you an effective trainer on our application equipment and its operation to our field personnel.

 

Kemira Pulp & Paper offers unique expertise in applying chemicals and supporting pulp and paper producers to innovate and constantly improve their operational efficiency and end-product quality. The area of responsibility for this current career opportunity covers the Americas with overnight travel focused in North America. The individual can live in either Canada or the US.

What you need: 

 

  • A Bachelor’s or Technical Degree and/or equivalent field experience in an industrial process setting with 5 – 10 years of experience.
  • Basic mechanical skills/acumen
  • General knowledge of industrial equipment
  • Comfortable working around electrical panels
  • MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%

Experience in the following areas preferred:

  • Kemira chemical feed and make-down equipment
  • Kemira KemConnectTM control and monitoring systems
  • Remote digital platforms
  • Pulp and Paper operations
