We are now looking for an experienced Tax Manager, Americas. In this position you will fulfill an important role through managing Americas tax affairs, coordinating tax compliance processes and developing tax processes in Americas region. You have one of key roles in tax audit processes. In this role you participate in global projects ensuring that taxes are analyzed correctly and tax returns and related documentations are filed according to local legislations, Kemira tax guidelines and policies. The position is permanent and based on Atlanta. Kemira has a hybrid model for office and remote working. 

 

Tax Manager’s key responsibilities:

 

  • Managing the US federal and state tax processes for two legal entities with approximately  $1000M in revenues
  • Tax filing and tax audit processes in the North America (The US and Canada)
  • Local tax planning and tax risk management
  • Other local tax processes (e.g. sales and use taxes, property taxes)
  • Management of one local staff member
  • Ensuring tax reporting in accordance with IFRS and statutory regulations
  • Managing partners providing local tax compliance services
  • Tax affairs in regional projects
  • Participation in global tax and transfer pricing projects
  • Following the development of tax regulations and initiating related change actions

 

The Global Tax team is a part of Kemira CFO office, which provides accurate and timely information and drives efficiency improvements through best-in-class finance & accounting and planning & controlling services as well as risk management, treasury, investor relations, M&A operations and IT.

What you need:

 

  • Bachelor´s degree in taxation, law or economics, Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a tax consultant or in-house tax manager in multinationals
  • Certified Public Accountant designation
  • An independent mindset and strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Good communication and co-operation skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Experience with SAP and HFM desired
