Title:  Technical Sales Representative

We are now looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative for our Pulp & Paper Segment.  This role supports the application and sales of all chemistries used in paper manufacturing industries as Kemira is an industry leader in assisting our customers, at their locations, in identifying and applying the most effective chemical applications used in all stages of the paper manufacturing process. The role is located in Chillocothe, Ohio.

 

Your responsibilities include: Working closely with the existing Account Manager to direct sales process, aiming at meeting and / or exceeding sales and profitability margin targets. Developing profitable business with designated account(s). Expanding profits, market position / share, introducing new products / solutions to clients and organizing visits to current and potential clients.

 

Preparing short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets. Supporting the development of demand forecast in assigned area. Retaining long-term customer relationships with established accounts projected to generate future sales and repeat business. Managing trade receivables and delivery/invoicing claims.  Ability to develop account plans and execute with discipline. Ability to develop “trust based” relationships with key buyers.

What you need: 

  • Bachelor's degree) level and/or equivalent field experience in paper science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, or chemical engineering.  3-5 years’ experience in the paper industry preferred
  • Experience in the following areas preferred:
  • Fine Paper 
  • retention and drainage/silica chemistries
  • general wet-end paper machine applications
  • Kraft Pulping
  • Pulp Mill Defoamer
  • Scale and pitch control applications
  • Microbiological control programs    
  • Sizing
