Title:  Warehouse Planner

We are looking for a full time Warehouse Planner.  This position will report to the Maintenance Manager. 

Job Duties

  • Safety and Environmental
    • Work in a way that insures the safety of themselves and of all plant personnel
    • comply with plant safety and environmental rules and regulations including OSHA
  • Materials Movement
    • Receive maintenance materials into the storeroom, enter GR into SAP, label material and place into proper location on the shelf immediately upon receipt
    • Check work orders for parts usage and issue them to the appropriate work order in SAP
    • Check requisition list (ME5A) and covert to purchase requisitions daily
    • Ensure delivery date for materials meets plant needs, monitor the delivery of critical parts, expedite delivery as needed
    • Pick up/deliver supplies/materials/equipment from/to local suppliers
    • Co-ordinate with transportation companies for shipments, prepare BOL’s
    • Monitor and Control expenditures by data entry into the cost control spread sheet
  • Inventory
    • Maintain minimum level of stock items on hand
    • Conduct cycle counts; reconcile count with data in SAP
    • Maintain critical spare parts list in SAP
    • Maintain housekeeping standards in the store room and other storage areas---organized, neat, clean
  • Purchasing
    • Reconcile discrepancies between goods received and invoices
    • Enter PR’s for other purchases as directed
  • CMMS Support (SAP)
    • Data and labor entry into work orders
    • Support TopPM Program---enter new equipment, modify existing and enter new PM’s; expand critical spare parts lists and equipment BOM’s
    • Maintain detailed equipment records/history in SAP and SharePoint directories
  • Clerical work
    • File packing lists, etc. in office files
    • Retrieve mail and distribute
    • Enter raw material receipts into SAP
    • Order and track safety and office supplies
  • Obtain services, tools, rental equipment as needed by Maintenance
  • Communicate with plant personnel the status of parts delivery
  • Back up to the Maintenance Co-Ordinator
  • Other duties as required by the Maintenance Co-Ordinator

 

 

Working Conditions

  • 40 hrs. per week, day shift; overtime and weekend hours can be expected
  • Work will be in areas with and without air conditioning---in the plant or the maintenance shop
  • Chemical Plant/Industrial Environment

 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good computer skills. Experience with MA Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and SAP CMMS, Materials Management and Purchasing Modules
  • Clean driving record
  • Physical requirements
    • able to lift 30 lbs.
    • able to climb ladders and stairs; able to work at heights
  • Safety---be aware of general safety requirements in chemical plants
