Title:  Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager

 

Kemira now has an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager for our Botlek manufacturing site reporting into the Plant Manager. The primary focus of this senior role is to provide leadership to the Maintenance team (6 direct reports, 8 indirect), ensuring safe and efficient operations of the manufacturing activities at the site. 

 

In this role you will have the overall responsibility for Maintenance planning and execution including regulatory inspections and testing.  Annual Maintenance budget is approximately two million euro. 

 

You will build a vision of Maintenance Excellence with the team to meet and exceed customer demands.

 

Critical success factors are: Implement through continuous improvement reliability-based Maintenance plans, reduce Maintenance costs, improve equipment availability and eliminating back log.  In view of an aging population, the organization needs to be reviewed to be robust for the future. Develop the technical competencies of the Maintenance organization. Seek and apply knowledge of new technology available, industry trends and development to improve the operation. Oversee site inventory of critical spare parts and materials

 

The Botlek site is a BRZO (high incident risk) site and you will participate in the out of hours call out rota for the off-site Emergency Plan.

What you need:  

  • Minimal a degree in Mechanical/Instrument & Electrical Engineering or relevant technical subject area
  • Strong Maintenance experience (minimal 10 years), gained in the Chemical or Process Industries
  • Experience with planning & executing Maintenance with SAP
  • Proven leadership with the ability to develop people
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to build relationships across various levels
  • Demonstrable track record on Continuous Improvement
  • Good Dutch & English communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others
