Title:  SR Applicatioin Specialist AWT

Sr. Specialist, Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) Sales & Service

Industry & Water supports municipalities and water intensive industries in the efficient and sustainable utilization of resources. Kemira helps municipalities, private operators and water intensive industries in the transition towards circular economy by enabling water reuse and improved water treatment efficiency at every stage of water management.

 

We are actively seeking a Sr. AWT Specialist to Provide advanced technical and product expertise to successfully develop, implement, and commercialize AWT solutions (including product, equipment and service) based on customers’ needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced, technical product expertise to successfully develop, implement, and commercialize complex AWT solutions (product, equipment, service)
  • Manage, run, and plan trials/installations of AWT applications
  • Develop proposals outlining how AWT products/services can be integrated and implemented at customer locations and within their systems.
  • Coordinate and execute commercialization to ensure successful launches
  • Drive the development of new applications in region
  • Estimate costs, resources, time and technical requirements for projects
  • Respond to highly complex customer questions and troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation
  • Contractor management, that include contracts, revise quotes, schedule work, inspect and approve work, revise invoice, supply materials, manage safety of projects and work with the PO.
  • Planning horizon: Contribute to development projects with medium-term (1-3 years) impact on function performance
  • Decision making: regional level but contribute to Global perspective of AWT; liaise with global BD, AWT now, and Digihub regarding development of new applications.
  • Provide insight and resolve complex issues requiring understanding and consideration of several disciplines including but not limited mechanical/equipment, product, and customer processes
  • Participate in monthly commercial reviews and provide updates on I&W Americas projects and global BD/AWT meetings when required

What you need:  

 

  • 15 years+ experience in industry
  • Proven track record of growth and project management
  • Mechanical experience (pumps, chemical equipment, PLC/Controllers installation)
  • Operator licensed (WTP or WWTP) a major plus; operator experience beneficial
  • Ability to work closely with other functions to drive the processes supporting sales
  • Customer-focused demeanor
  • Subject Area Knowledge:  waste water applications including but not limited to phosphorous & struvite control, odor control, sludge dewatering ; also including mechanical and process equipment and control
  • Influence & Persuasion: An advanced ability to impact, influence and convince internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult issues requiring interpretation of established processes and procedures
  • Flexibility: Ability to work on many tasks and projects simultaneously and to shift seamlessly between activities
