Title:  (Senior) Research Scientist, Fiber and Bioeconomy

We are now looking for a (Senior) Research Scientist to join the Fiber and Bioeconomy Team in our Espoo R&D Center. You will work in research projects supporting the product development of sustainable retention, drainage and strength chemistries for paper and board, and for novel innovative fiber based products. You will be participating in planning and executing of research and development projects in these product lines together with the rest of the team.

 What you need:
•    Academic degree (MSc or higher) in the area of paper chemistry, paper technology, chemical engineering, process engineering, or other relevant area of technology. 
•    Excellent knowledge on paper and board making, especially on wet end chemistry and applications, focusing on  retention, drainage and strength chemicals.
•    Experience in research and product/application development for pulp and paper industry, or other relevant industry
•    You are used to perform experimental work and guide technical personnel, and have excellent safety attitude and willingness to continuously improve safety culture in our day-to-day operations
•    Project management skills to lead the development of new products from laboratory-scale experiments to full-scale commercial products.
•    Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
•    You are a result oriented team player with excellent collaboration skills, but you are also able to work independently. You are proactive and service-minded and you have desire to create networks. 
•    You have innovative and research oriented attitude and passion to solve problems and courage to drive constant improvement by challenging existing status and identifying new ways of working.
