We are now looking for an experienced process engineer for the colorants business in our paper division.  The process engineer will support the Bushy Park manufacturing facility by supporting operations with technical expertise.  This position will be involved in day to day operational improvments, process development aimed at improving cycle time, yields and or product quality.  This is a permanent position located in the greater Charleston, SC area.

 

The responsibilities will include:

 

  • Work directly with operations to support production on a technical basis.
  • Work with plant processes to improve cycle time, quality and or yield.
  • Author and maintain manufacturing batch sheet work instructons
  • Train produciton personnel on various manufacturing unit operations.
  • Assist in process safety design reviews, MOC reviews, and pre-startup inspections as needed.
  • Work with maintenance on technically complex repairs and failure analysis.

What you need:

 

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to accomplish goals and objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience and organizational skills a plus.
  • Programming experience with OSIsoft PI Historian software preferred
