Title:  Application Engineer, P&P EMEA WQQM

We are now looking for a customer oriented Application Engineer to strengthen Water Quality and Quantity Management (WQQM) team in Pulp & Paper EMEA Application development. Kemira Pulp & Paper offers unique expertise in applying chemicals and supporting pulp and paper producers to innovate and continuously improve their operational efficiency and end-product quality. The application team is part of Kemira’s sales organization. WQQM team works with the purification of incoming water, internal water treatment, purification of waste water, dewatering of various kinds of sludge in pulp- and paper making processes.

 

The position is located in Finland and will report to Manager of Application Development WQQM, Pulp & Paper, EMEA.

 

Main accountabilities:

  • Business development and technical support for current customers in EMEA, underlining Finland
  • Actively looks for potential new customers and new applications in his/her area
  • Provides expertise in WQQM and understands pulp- and papermaking processes
  • Testing Kemira products at customer processes in laboratory and full scale trials
  • You will be responsible for continuously develop WQQM business and application competencies
  • Works closely with the sales team to ensure proper support in WQQM application projects
  • Works in close co-operation with Research and Development and other supporting functions

What you need:

  • Good technical knowledge of water treatment applications is preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in water treatment or in water intensive industry is preferred
  • All experience in pulp and paper processes are highly valuated
  • Openness towards new things and flexible & active attitude in customer interface
  • Willingness to travel is a necessity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English, other languages are advantage
