We are looking for a Manager / Senior Manager, Group Insurance to join our Group Treasury and Insurance team at Kemira headquarters in Helsinki.

As a part of the team, your core role is to manage Kemira’s insurance programs and coordinate claims handling. You will also contribute to other Risk Management work. You will report to VP, Group Treasurer.

 

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of Kemira Group’s insurance programs. You are facilitating insurance renewal process together with external partners and ensure that insurance solutions are optimal for the needs of Kemira. You are also driving discussions around new insurable risks.
  • Effective claims handling for various insurance lines (e.g. property damage and product liability)
  • Contributing to global risk surveys at Kemira factories conducted by insurers
  • Close co-operation with the insurance brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders. Monitoring performance of external partners and implementing needed changes.
  • Supporting and educating internal stakeholders in order to build awareness of insurance coverage and processes that are used in insurance management and claims handling
  • Providing professional advice in insurance related matters
  • Process and content development in your area of responsibility
  • Maintaining up to date understanding of insurance market development

  • Work experience in insurance

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (Finnish and English)

  • The ability to cope under pressure
  • Planning, organization and negotiation skills
  • The ability to understand broad business issues
  • Proficiency in information systems (incl. Excel)
  • Willingness to travel
