The M&A team manages and co-ordinates our acquisition and divestment processes globally. In this role, you will report to our Vice President, M&A. The position can be based either at our headquarters in Helsinki or at our regional headquarters in Atlanta.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing global M&A projects from initiation to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Managing due diligence processes, identifying critical issues and ensuring seamless integration of findings into decision-making.
  • Preparing case materials and recommendations for the management to enable well-informed decisions.
  • Actively participating in transaction negotiations.
  • Collaborating on integration planning to ensure a smooth transition post-transaction, focusing on value creation and operational alignment.
  • Monitoring market trends and identifying potential acquisition or divestment opportunities in alignment with the company's strategic goals.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • A university degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute complex projects with a strong commitment to excellence.
  • Experience in M&A processes, either in a corporate environment or with relevant advisors (e.g., investment banks, accounting firms, M&A boutiques, or consultancies). You should be capable of independently managing M&A processes or substantial parts of them, such as due diligence.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights for executive decision-making. You excel at identifying key issues and recommending solutions.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles, Excel modeling, and valuation techniques.
  • Initiative and self-reliance in driving projects to completion while meeting deadlines. You’re also a collaborative team player, capable of building strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively. Fluent English is essential.
  • A willingness to handle both strategic and hands-on tasks as part of a small, agile team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • An ability to build trust and foster relationships at all organizational levels. Working in a dynamic international and multicultural environment excites you, and you’re flexible in meeting the demands of projects, including associated travel.

What you can expect from us:

  • Ownership and responsibility for impactful M&A projects, allowing you to directly shape our growth strategy and make a measurable difference in our success.
  • An excellent opportunity to be part of Kemira’s sustainability-driven transformation for profitable growth.
