We are now looking for a Quality Control Specialist for our Mobile, AL location. This position provides service and support for the Quality Control laboratory and plant ISO systems. This includes: supporting the EHSQ Manager in SAP backup requirements for the Mobile plant managing of product setup and data. Support in maintaining statistical data and charts as requested for internal and exterior customers; support in laboratory operation requirements including fill in for shift analytical responsibilities if needed. This position will also provide support in maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Operation and testing of FR flow loop to support R&D and PLM evaluation of new and existing products. Special assignments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promote safety of self and coworkers.
- Support creating and/or editing all new inspection characteristics needed in SAP for Mobile.
- Support creating and/or editing all new inspection plans for Mobile product material codes.
- Support creating and/or editing new inspection plans for any plant’s material codes if requested.
- Support in assignment of all quality inspection types, and other quality data, for each material code in SAP for Mobile.
- Support creating and/or editing COA (Certificates of Analysis) profiles in SAP for material codes. and assign materials to a COA profile and generate special warehouse COAs as needed.
- Participate in SAP QM tickets and Change Requests.
- Support troubleshooting and required maintenance on laboratory equipment
- Share responsibility for updating all QC Lab ISO documentation.
- Support monthly QC reporting requirements as needed.
- Act as backup for ProFlow requirements as needed.
- Support entering product specifications and modifications into SAP.
- Support statistical requirements and create charts for internal customers.
- Supply charts of top 10 Mobile products to QC Manager for monthly reviews.
- Support setup of new or editing of analytical test methods.
- Support conducting of audits as required as part of an ISO Internal Auditor team.

What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor of Science degree, BS in Chemistry preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in laboratory and ISO environment preferred
- Experience with information systems, preferably SAP and Synergi
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma, a plus
- Working knowledge of chemistry, mathematics and statistics
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team facilitation skills
- Proficient with basic MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills
- Root Cause Analysis and strong problem-solving skills, a plus
- Experience with SAP and corrective action tracking, a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001, a plus
