Title: Process Chemist, Polymers Technology

We have a temporary vacancy for maternity leave for a Process Chemist based at the San Giorgio di Nogaro (UD) site, reporting to Silvia Verdelli, Sr Technlogy Engineer, Polymers Technology. In this role you will provide process and product formulation support to manufacturing locations both regionally in EMEA and globally. You will initiate and support process improvement efforts, determine technical feasibility and provide approval of raw material substitutions using laboratory and/or pilot plant trials.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams with scale up new products.
- Participate as NPD team member – provide initial manufacturing related input when a project leaves the feasibility phase.
- Participate on NPD team through commercialization of product and introduction to each designated facility.
- Provide manufacturing documentation to production facilities globally for new products (process description, manufacturing specifications, raw material specifications, equipment requirements and processing parameters).
- Provide manufacturing support (often on-site) to production facilities globally during new product startup.
- As part of the Polymers E&T global technical team provide technical support for Polyacrylamide and Polyacrylate liquid and dry processes.

What you’ll bring to the team:
- BSc degree in Chemistry (Advanced degree preferred) with 5 years experience working in a lab or manufacturing environment
- A good knowledge of Polymer Chemistry - experience of Inverse emulsion processes an advantage
- A strong ability to analyze numerical and verbal data
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Works well in a team and collaborates well with others
- An ability to work innovatively and able to produce new ideas, approaches and insights
- English language beneficial
