This role is responsible for key raw materials and service sourcing to support the operation of Kemira APAC regional business. We are now looking for an experienced candidate to fit this role and please find below the job description and roles & responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic & key raw materials sourcing as well as tolling plant management for Kemira APAC’s Pulp & Paper and Industry & Water business. This sourcing category is critical to the profitability in variety of Kemira’s strategic product lines like Paper Sizing, Polymers, Coagulants, Colorants, Strength Additives etc.
  • Performance KPI is primarily the annual saving from raw material purchase spending, payment term negotiation, secure supply & risk management, supplier performance management and sustainability monitoring. Main scope of day-to-day job as below:
  • Design and implement the sourcing strategy for key raw materials correspondingly.
  • Frequently to use standardized bidding process to identify the best supplier from the market, meanwhile negotiate the Supply Contract for secured supply with competitive pricing and payment terms. 
  • Work out the contingency supply plan.
  • Supplier Management and Development to meet Kemira’s Code of Conduct and EHS requirements and other legal requirements.
  • VMI model development when necessary.
  • Routinely Supplier Audit and Performance Evaluation. 
  • Feedstock price analysis and data collection to well understand the market situation and make routine report to the business team.

What you need:  

  • Minimum 5 years proven working experiences in multi-national companies for chemical business. Previous job preferred to be sourcing management, supply chain management or business development. 
  • Bachelor’s degree to entry, can be flexible in specializations. Owning a business degree will be a plus.
  • Fluent Chinese & English communication both in written and verbal.
  • Skillful operation experience of MS.Office and SAP system. Familiar with Kemira internal tools (e.g. ProFlow, eSourcing Service) will be a plus.
  • Holds an excellent presentation skills and data analysis capability.
  • Willing to travel frequently when business requried.
