We are now looking for a dynamic and assertive individual for Director, Polymers, Product Line Management, Water Solutions, Global for our Water Solutions business
This unit helps municipalities and water-intensive industries with process and resource efficiency as well as responsible water use.
The preferred location is Europe.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Coordination across Kemira Business Units and Regional Product Line organizations, ensuring that the Polymer needs of both Water Solutions & Packaging & Hygiene Business Units are met, articulating a clear product vision and strategy, effectively communicating to team members and stakeholders to inspire and align efforts so that Kemira group-level strategy is successfully developed and executed.
- This is a people manager position with Water Solutions Polymer Product Line Managers and Product Line Specialist as direct reports.
- Drive product line profitability through strategic pricing, cost structure improvement, and robust financial oversight. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant market trends, enabling informed decision-making and strategic foresight.
- Define and develop a competitive product portfolio, overseeing the entire product lifecycle to ensure alignment with sales strategies, operational efficiency, and resource allocation. Integrate sustainability considerations into product development and operational practices, aligning with industry best practices.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across Commercial, Business Development, Manufacturing, R&D, Sourcing, and more in order to create a unified approach towards achieving common goals.
- Lead long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Strong leadership in building and managing cross-functional, complex teams, with hands-on experience in the region. Inspiring and effectively leading and developing team of direct reports.
- Deep expertise in product line optimization, profitability management, and product lifecycle strategy, with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and executive-level communication skills (verbal, written, subliminal) to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant market trends, enabling informed decision-making and strategic foresight. Strong understanding of sales and technical service operations, particularly within the chemical manufacturing landscape, and proficiency in long-term capacity planning.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in product line management, commercial operations, or related fields, preferably within manufacturing, finance, or business controlling.
- A master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Preferred location is based in Europe, hybrid work model, international travel is required to effectively foster growth and collaboration.
