Title:  Manager, Supply Planning, Polymers & Coagulants, I&W

We are looking for a Supply Planning Manager, Polymers & Coagulants for our Industry & Water Group in the Americas Region.  The main purpose of the role is to serve as a resident expert in demand/supply planning as part of a global team of experts that is responsible for driving the Segment’s Sales and Operation (S&OP) process.  You will report to the Director, Global Segment Planning, I&W.  This position is located in the Atlanta, GA (Parkwood) office

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coagulants product-line (~60% workload)
    • Facilitate/Contribute to Regional I&W Segment S&OP Demand and Supply review meetings
    • Support enhancing of Sales and Operations planning processes (S&OP). Build formal process and meeting structures
    • Build supply plans including for production plants including raw material as part of S&OP process
    • Support Supply chain and product management with overall Logistics optimization and improve overall cost efficiencies projects/initiatives. This includes balancing between rail and truck deliveries, direct vs. shipments via terminals, all with focus on lowest total cost of ownership
    • Further enhance usage and utilization of advanced planning system SAP-IBP

 

  • Polymers product-line (~40% workload)
    • Facilitate/Contribute to Regional I&W Segment S&OP Demand and Supply review meetings
    • Support Sr. Supply planning manager I&W Americas with demand and supply planning, provide input into Global and or Regional supply reviews
    • Ensure inventories are positioned correctly to enable demand variability and drive optimal stocking strategy and fulfillment modes (Make to Stock, Make to Order) to find the optimum between cost and effort by proactively maximizing availability for sales and mitigating identified availability risks
    • Actively partner with regional product line, commercial, manufacturing, logistics and sourcing teams in creating supply capability to operationalize product strategies and tactics across the supply chain (this includes managing and monitoring of sales performance, current stock and future stock situation and proposing stock availability for partners to reduce risk of stock outs, and managing and monitoring of confirmed supply plans and inventory performance)

What you need:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, engineering or other relevant field
  •  1 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within manufacturing, product management, finance, business control or supply chain
  • Supply chain experience, such as supply planning, production planning, inventory management, demand and supply forecasting
  • Ability to deal with multiple complex issues at the same time
  • Experience with S&OP processes and advanced planning systems such as SAP(-IBP)
  • General knowledge of international business, skills to build relationships on several levels within a cross-functional, global matrixed organization
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
