We are now seeking a Regional Team Lead, Project Manager, Americas to join the Engineering & Technology team in the Americas region. 

 

The Regional Team Lead, Project Manager position will lead the team of Project Managers and Process Engineer within the Americas region. The position is responsible for the estimation and execution of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects. Ensure successful project delivery by adhering to safety standards, completing projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting specified objectives and quality requirements. This remote position will be located in the US or Canada near a major airport. 

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead the Regional Team of Kemira CapEx Project Managers and Process Engineers (if applicable). 
  • Serve as Acting Project Manager for CapEx projects, leading CE/BE/DE when necessary. 
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of Kemira’s Project Management Procedures (PEM/PMF) and general project management practices. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Manufacturing Teams to develop and maintain the Regional CapEx Long-Range Plan. 
  • Actively Participate in steering committees for major projects to ensure strategic alignment and project success. 
  • Coordinate with the V.P. of Engineering & Technology to assign adequate resources to prioritized projects. 
  • Provide support to other members of the Engineering & Technology team and the Head of Engineering & Technology as needed 


What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • 15+ years of experience in the chemical industry, with a focus on Capital Projects Management. 
  • University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with practical experience in chemical manufacturing environments. 
  • Excellent communication skills—both oral and written—with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy. 
  • Strong analytical abilities with the capability to collect, interpret, and apply data effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in data analysis and presentation. 
  • Travel - Ability to travel 30% - 50%
