Kemira Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) drives the global execution of product safety and product regulatory compliance related activities and proactively contributes to Kemira product stewardship through lifecycle approach.
We are seeking a skilled professional to join the company in our Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team. This role will be responsible for ensuring Kemira product regulatory compliances by interpreting regulations for assigned product lines and region. This position will be located in Atlanta, Georgia, working from our main office and is eligible for hybrid work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implements PSRA execution plan to enforce Kemira strategy, participates and gives input to strategic development in own specific (regulatory) area
- Develop solutions to comply with regulations/systems/tools in the own area of expertise
- Develop/manage/implement PSRA processes/tools in their own area of expertise
- Prepare and conduct stakeholder training and provide guidelines and instructions
- Determine and evaluation of hazardous classification (e.g. GHS) based on product chemistry and application if relevant to own role
- Maintain/record the data according to internal processes
- Create and maintain regulatory data and documents (e.g. SDS and labels) independently
- Support customer compliance by providing product regulatory information and expert advice.
- Manage/Lead registration/notification/permit processes on Kemira’s products according to legal requirements.
- Participate in Kemira projects representing PSRA.
- May act as a project manager for short and medium term PSRA regulatory and development projects.
- Coach others to perform product safety or EHS evaluations and to make effective conclusions in his/her expertise area
What you’ll bring to the team:
- University degree in Chemistry, Environment, Biology or relevant major; Higher education is preferred.
- 5+ years of working experience in Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs
- Advanced knowledge on regional/global core regulations for Kemira products and applications.
- Experience working in chemical industry
- Project management skills
- Analytic mindset with capabilities to interpret and translate the regulatory requirements into actionable plans and conclusion
- Fluent in English (read, write and speak) plus local language
- Basic understanding of business processes and strategic goals

The starting salary range for consideration for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 per year with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. The actual starting salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant employment history & experience, skill set/competencies, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid time off, life/disability insurance and a 401k retirement plan (which includes a company match).
