We are seeking a motivated and business minded Sr. Credit & Risk Manager to join the Americas Finance & Accounting unit of Kemira’s CFO Organization. The role will have credit, receivables and risk management responsibility for the $1.2+ billion Americas region of Kemira and reports to the VP, Finance & Accounting, Americas.

 

The position also serves as a key regional contributor to the global credit policies and processes. The role is located in Atlanta, GA (Parkwood).

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for directing and making financially sound credit decisions for customer accounts across North and South America, with higher day-to-day focus on US and Canadian customers.
  • Manage a seven member US team of credit and receivables, and three team members based in Brazil. Direct reports include a North America manager of receivables, South America manager of credit & receivables, and two North America credit specialists.
  • Collaborate constructively with commercial teams to assess business opportunities balanced against financial risk.
  • Manage the regional insurance policies with brokers, including support on claims and coverage reviews. Serve as primary internal liason between the business and brokers/insurers for insurance matters.
  • Manage the bank credit facility for factored customer invoices.
  • Utilize credit tools in SAP, Dun & Bradstreet, and Credit Risk Monitor to properly assess and manage the credit function in a process driven manner.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and support audit and other control based activities.
  • Participate in global process improvements and initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Finance or other relevant business concentration
  • Minimum 10 years relevant commercial credit experience, preferably 3-4 years as manager
  • Large ERP platform experience; SAP expertise a plus
  • Ability to read and understand credit ratings
  • Ability to apply financial analysis, quantitative and qualitative credit assessments
  • Ability to influence and build relationships in a global cross-functional organization
  • Confidence to take positions on important issues while working in professional and collaborative manner
  • Ability to work both strategically and hands on to support daily business needs
