Kemira Sourcing drives the company’s strategic management of external spend to achieve supply availability, cost competitiveness, service performance, complexity reduction, sustainability and risk mitigation. We are now seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to join our Global (or Regional) Sourcing team in North America.   This will work from our Atlanta, GA office and report to the Sr Sourcing Manager.  The position is eligible for hybrid work. 

 

The key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support and implement innovative approaches to sourcing activities with several raw materials that are supplied to Kemira’s plants.
  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategy at regional level focusing on direct categories in North America.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on how to best manage raw materials spend categories in a close co-operation with Product Line Managers and other areas at Kemira.
  • Responsible for negotiating with suppliers and managing its performance.

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Preferably bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering or other science related field. 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in commercial role preferable with sourcing experience in raw materials categories for chemical companies or sufficient experience in other industries.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; ability to understand and define the most critical issues and develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data.
  • Strong supplier and internal stakeholder management skills.
  • Sense of urgency and Pro-active hands-on attitude. Capable of independently manage multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously within tight timeframes.  
  • Experience with negotiating legal and commercial agreements terms and conditions.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly with Suppliers, Business stakeholders, and relevant internal functions. 
  • Capability and willingness to operate in an ever changing environment and still able to move towards the set goal.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office, SAP and eSourcing tools.
  • Language skills: English
