Sr. Account Manager – Water (Remote - Great Lakes Area)

Kemira’s Industry & Water segment supports municipalities and water intensive industries in the efficient and sustainable utilization of resources. As a specialty Chemicals Manufacturer, Kemira helps municipalities, private operators, and water intensive industries in the transition towards circular economy by enabling water reuse and improved water treatment efficiency at every stage of water management.

 

We are actively seeking a Sr. Account Manager to manage existing customer accounts and drive growth of existing and potential new products and digital services in various municipal and industrial applications. Help satisfy existing and new customers unmet Chemical Applications  and Digital Solutions needs by offering technical solutions and providing technical expertise from lab work through field trials to drive commercialization of new business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial responsibility for customers within assigned Territory
  • Drive revenue growth of chemical application and digital solution sales in the municipal and industrial sector
  • Act as a service resource to customers by performing testing and chemical conversions that supports sales initiatives and strategies
  • Participate in promotional events including but not limited to trade-shows, including set-up and teardown of presentation materials
  • Continuous learning through attendance to internal and external training courses, and technical conferences
  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers, when required, to maintain and install our equipment

What you need:  

 

  • Four year college degree in Business or Science
  • Minimum 5 years of water or wastewater operations and / or relevant sales experience
  • Good understanding of water chemistry and water plant processes
  • Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Innovative; with strong problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written & oral
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) primarily in the US but some international travel may be required
