We are now looking for a lab technician for our Industry and Water Coagulants segment at our Baltimore, MD facility.  This person will be responsible for interacting with various departments to insure that all lab related functions are conducted properly on site.

 

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

 

  • Performing quality control tests on all production samples and verifying that all products and incoming raw materials meet quality specifications.
  • Maintaining, filing, and archiving all lab records, including QA lab notebooks, products, sales & raw material specs and COAs, production work orders, batch sheets & retention samples.
  • Ensuring the QA laboratory meets ISO 9001 and Kemira quality requirements, including the approval of testing and calibration procedures.
  • Calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, & writing procedures for instrumentation and product testing. 
  • Assisting the EHSQ Specialist with procedure development and quality review of new products and raw materials.
  • Assisting production with formula corrections for off-spec batches.
  • Assisting with special laboratory projects or other projects as required by the Plant Manager.
  • Recording QC results in SAP and generating Certificates of Analysis; completing other related transactions.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping.
  • You must be capable of working primarily independently in the lab, but also as an important member of the production team.
