Sales Manager, Thailand & Vietnam, I&W

 

Purpose of the Role:

  • Develop existing and new business in Thailand & Vietnam for I&W Segment.
  • Develop and explore new agents and businesses in Burma, Laos, and Cambodia.

 

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Maintain existing business in the Thailand & Vietnam, I&W industry
  • Develop relationships with key customers
  • Identify new business opportunities; develop customer relationships, and winning strategy, provide appropriate technical and commercial support to customers/channels/partners by consulting, site trail, piloting, etc.
  • To be the key driver for all new Projects in Thailand
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers and sales team
  • Advise customers on the application of company products or services to customer requirements.
  • Provide advice to existing customers to enable them to optimize product usage.
  • Monitor Product usage rates and provide accurate, timely forecasting to the production and admin team to ensure the security of supply and optimum inventory levels.
  • Monitor market trends through personal contact with clients and suppliers and attendance at industry association meetings and seminars.
  • Monitor competitor activities and feedback to the management.
  • Recommend sales budgets by product by customer and advise management on the market and technical strategies in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Draft proposals and detailed costing and prepare contract documents for review by senior management prior to negotiation with clients.
  • Offer assistance and explanation when difficulties arise, ensure complaints are followed up, and ensure that satisfactory solutions are obtained for both the customer and the company.
  • Recommend variations in product, formulation, or package design and participate in regular production and sales meetings to communicate field intelligence.
  • Report on customer call plans, customer requirements, and provide regular progress reports on performance.
  • Responsible for customers A/R collection without past due
  • Ensure activities comply with ethical and legal standards.
  • Agree to specific KPI’s in discussion with your direct manager and make best endeavors to achieve such KPI’s during the term.
  • To work in a manner consistent with the missions, goals, and strategies of Kemira Thailand
  • Ensure that customers are routinely informed of best safe practices with regard to the handling, application, storage, and disposal of Kemira Thailand products supplied. Further, ensure that any unsafe practices are reported, both to the correct member of the customer’s management team and to Kemira I&W management as required by the Kemira EHSQ policy code of practice. 
  • Ensure that customers are formally informed regarding the correct and safe usage of Kemira Thailand products and the potential consequences of misuse.
  • Work in compliance with the Kemira Thailand EHSQ protocols at all times. Non-compliance with this item will constitute a breach of the agreement.
  • Work in compliance with the Kemira Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as required.

 

Working Experience and Education:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environment or other relevant major
  • More than 8 years working experience in water treatment and application chemicals company
  • Have related sales/technical support/application working experience in selling coagulant, flocculant, defoamer, antiscalant and process additives to any of the water and wastewater treatment in the industrial & Municipal, Sugar & Bioethanol process, cement fibers, construction, mining industries, ceramic & textiles industries
  • Direct to customer Sales and Team leader experience
  • Account management skills and experience in handling larger corporate customers
  • Able to generate new ideas and excellent customer site management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot, with excellent negotiation & communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the APAC region
  • Good sense of sales process and Channel management skills and experience
