We are looking for a Demand Planner, Water Solutions, Global

We are seeking a dynamic and assertive individual for the Demand Planner, Water Solutions, Global position.

The Demand Planner role will be instrumental in coordinating and facilitating the global Water Solutions demand planning process, increasing the forecasting accuracy to feed into the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process.  You will be in the driver’s seat managing the demand plan as we accelerate the ambitious targets for strategic growth.  The successful candidate will have strong communication, influencing and interpersonal capabilities which will be required to navigate a wide stakeholder network.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Demand Forecasting;

    • Analyze Sales trends, prepare forecast data and statistical forecast results
    • Facilitate Sales Forecast reviews, understand major drivers of Sales Forecast changes, new opportunities, lost business, market trends, and challenge the Sales Forecast where needed
    • Consolidate Sales forecast and other input into a final S&OP Demand Forecast
    • Track and improve forecast accuracy and bias based on Kemira target
    • Maintain and deloy Demand segmentation strategies

S&OP collaboration;

    • Facilitate monthly S&OP demand reviews with the Commercial teams, sign-off final consensus S&OP Demand Plan, which will feed in Water Solutions Global S&OP process
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across Commercial, Product Line Management, Supply Planning, Manufacturing and elevate
    • Provide input to Supply Planning in developing inventory strategies, new business/products, and business/product exits.

Long-Range Planning: 

  • Collaborate with BU management on LRP projections to align and streamline the process from tactical S&OP forecasting to long-term LRP planning

Project Participation: 

  • Engage in various projects, such as improving statistical forecast capabilties, inplementing demand planning segmentation and SAP-IBP tool improvements

What you’ll bring to the team:

    • A hands-on approach with a can-do attitude with demonstrated ability to produce high-level, detailed analyses and insights, tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity, relevance, and strategic alignment of the Demand Plan.
    • Experience with SAP/S&OP processes, key user and advanced planning systems such as SAP (IBP).
    • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, subliminal) to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in English.
    • Strong understanding of sales and technical service operations, particularly within the chemical manufacturing landscape, and proficiency in long-term capacity planning.
    • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably within demand planning.  Supply chain, product management, production planning, inventory management or demand and supply forecasting experience will also be considered.
    • A master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business operations or additional forecasting certification such as APICS is preferred.
    • This is a global position, location may be flexible, hybrid work model
    • International travel may be required.
