Kemira Rotterdam B.V. has 2 production sites including G&A functions in Botlek and Europoort and in Belgium there is a small office location in Aartselaar. We are currently looking for an experienced HR Manager for Netherlands and Belgium reporting to the Senior HR Manager EMEA Central. In this role, you will be part of the local management team and implement the HR strategy so that Kemira attracts, retains and develops the right employees. This position is located on the Botlek site. There are approximately 200 employees in Netherlands and approximately 5 in Belgium. 

 

In this role you will be responsible to:   

  • Ensure smooth HR & Payroll operations in close collaboration with an HR Generalist
  • Act as a coach and advisor for managers and employees
  • Execute HR activities, develop and implement local action plans according to business needs and global people processes
  • Ensure that the organization's current and future resourcing needs are met
  • Collaborate with works councils and trade unions, and conduct negotiations about new collective labor agreements together with the Managing Director
  • Collaborate with an external agency to manage HR operations in Belgium
  • Contribute to the regional and global HR initiatives

 

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in HR or related field
  • 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in an international and/or manufacturing environment
  • Work experience in the chemical industry would be a big plus
  • Proven track record demonstrating successful collaboration with works councils and trade unions (5+ years) 
  • Profound knowledge of Dutch employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Innovative, proactive and collaborative mindset
  • Fluent language skills in Dutch and English
