We are now looking for a Shift Craftsperson for our Operations Manufacturing business unit.

 

Operations unit strengthens Kemira’s operational backbone by optimizing supply chain performance and driving cost efficiency. The unit supports business growth across all segments, enabling business units to focus on delivering their commercial strategies. Manufacturing organization in the Operations unit ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable production of chemical solutions that meet customer needs across industries. The unit is responsible for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards in Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality. Manufacturing plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and collaboration across global sites.

 

This position is located in Bradford, United Kingdom. This is an on-site only position.

 

The role is to be a key member of a team in a five shift operation, working an annualised hours system on twelve hour shifts. The working pattern is four shifts on, four shifts off and includes an eighteen day break every ten weeks within the annualised hours shift rota.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:
•    Providing planned and unplanned maintenance support across site as a key member of a production team.
•    Carrying out in-process adjustments and repairing electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment when necessary.
•    Assisting in production operations as required by your Team Leader or Management, so a flexible approach to team working will be key to your success.

 

What you’ll bring to the team:
•    An appropriate mechanical or electrical qualification, ideally apprentice trained, with post qualification experience in an industrial environment.
•    Experience within a chemical manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
•    Self-motivation, good verbal and written communication skills, and a logical approach to fault diagnosis.
•    Previous experience of SAP and/or a fork lift license would be an advantage.
