We are now looking for a Yard Operator for our Maintenance Team at the UK Bradford site.
The Bradford Maintenance Team is part of Kemira’s Manufacturing organisation within the Operations unit, which ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable production of chemical solutions that meet customer needs across industries. The unit is responsible for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards in Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality. Manufacturing plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and collaboration across global sites.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- unloading and loading of all goods vehicles delivering and/or collecting raw materials, waste, engineering equipment and any other goods to the site.
- the collection and disposal of general waste containers and the storage/segregation of recycling waste containers on the site.
- operating the recyclable waste baler
- ensuring all waste records are kept up to date for audit and reporting purposes
- completing a weekly stock take on all raw materials and liaising with the site planner to maintain correct levels
- general upkeep and tidiness of the yard and road areas
- assisting with site stores duties as required
- during winter months, you will be operating the snow plough and gritter on site roadways when required.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- the ability to take on responsibility, be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision to complete your day to day activities
- a clear logical thinker and effective problem solver with the ability to make decisions
- a team player who works with others co-operatively to achieve site and business objectives
- ability to operate a counterbalance forklift truck (training provided)
- IT skills
- SAP experience preferable
