We are now looking for Senior SCM Specialist in Chennai, India.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  1. Customer Service
  • Order taking from customers or sales, process order in SAP.
  • Communicate with the internal and external counterparters to confirm order and arrange the delivery plan, including domestics delivery orders and direct-shipment orders.
  • Communicate with the internal and external counterparters to arrange the pick-up and goods delivery
  • Follow up the orders from the customers till the order completion.
  • Claim process in system and follow up.

 

  1. Logistics & import/export
  • Arrange the transportation and ensure the delivery satisfaction
  • Manage the logistics vendors, to ensure their safety & correct operation for Kemira products.
  • Deal with the import/export process, prepare all related documents
  • Source the local transportation/logistics vendors & service, including the import/export agent, etc.
  • Manage the logistics suppliers (transportation, agent, etc.) and support the payment to the suppliers.
  • Manage the import/export process, operate necessary registration, follow up and report if any regulation change timely
  • Manage the external warehouse, ensure the inventory correction & correct management by the 3PL
  • Control the logistics cost, negotiate costs with the vendors, and, optimize the operation to maximum the saving.
  • Support the sales to arrange the sample for lab testing

 

  1. Planning & Procurement management
  • Cooperate with segment and regional planning to clarify the Demand Management
  • Ensure the purchase order flow from Kemira to local external suppliers if any
  • Ensure the correct Procurement process and necessary communication cross functions

 

  1. Sourcing and Indirect sourcing
  • Source the Logistic vendors and align the contracts to support the business growth
  • Statistic sourcing for local requirements according to Kemira policy & process is any

 

  1. Process & Tools
  • Ensures a high degree of customer focus in all activities and maintains good co-operation and communication with segments/functions.
  • Ensures that process and procedures are efficient and in compliance with Kemira standards to compliance with both internal and external audit requirements & Kemira policies.
  • Provides the framework for professional operation of all supply chain activities
  • Makes propositions to further improve operations, processes and organization
  • Supports the implementation of local, regional and global projects in time and costs
  • Support the internal & external audit related to SCM operation
  • Ad hoc project

 

  1. Reporting and Communication
  • Objectives/targets alignment with global/regional SCM targets, Monitor and take charge of SCM KPIs performance in India
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Implementation of global/regional processes/solutions in India
  • Alignment with segments & function strategies & implementation

 

  1. Sales operation
  • Sales Order Price: Update price in the related tool for all products
  • Master data: Create ticket for new (or update) customers, materials, other data in the related tools
  • Purchase Requisition: Create Purchase requisition in SAP for sales team.
  • MySales, etc. such kinds of sales APPs supporting

 

What you’ll bring to the team:  

  • Bachelor degree is a must
  • Professional English skill
  • Proficient in MS Word, Power point, Excel
  • At least 5 years working experiences in SCM order taking, logistics (both transportation and warehouse),  import/export, and the related regulations.
  • SAP skill is preferred.
  • Experience with pricing and forecasting tools would be an advantage
  • Import and export practice and India trade compliance knowhow, especially L/C, etc. operation.
  • India Domestics Logistics knowhow
  • Ocean delivery cross countries and cross regions knowledge
  • Cost structure understanding
