Title:  Maintenance and Site Project Manager

We are now looking for a Maintenance/Site Project manager at our East Chicago, IN facility specializing in manufacturing/maintenance and project management to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site engineering projects.  The Maintenance/Site Project Manager will be crucial in optimizing manufacturing processes, maintaining equipment, and overseeing the implementation of new technologies.  This role demands a combination of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.  

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical support in manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and site engineering projects.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement solutions to optimize processes and maximize productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong equipment lifespan and minimize disruptions to production.
  • Project Management: Lead site engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that project objectives are met within established timelines and budget constraints. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with organizational objectives.
  • Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment. Provide guidance to junior staff members and collaborate with external vendors when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices, fostering innovation, and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards in all manufacturing and maintenance activities. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
