We are now looking for a Logistics Operator for our Operations Manufacturing business unit.

 

Operations unit strengthens Kemira’s operational backbone by optimizing supply chain performance and driving cost efficiency. The unit supports business growth across all segments, enabling business units to focus on delivering their commercial strategies. Manufacturing organization in the Operations unit ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable production of chemical solutions that meet customer needs across industries. The unit is responsible for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards in Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality. Manufacturing plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and collaboration across global sites.

 

As a Logistics Operator you will be based at our Ellesmere Port site working Monday to Friday day shifts between the hours of 7am and 4pm.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with the production planner on daily and weekly loading schedules.
  • Safely loading and offloading road barrels.
  • Safely loading and unloading vehicles using FLT equipment.
  • Upload delivery and collection data to systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Completing daily checks of yard systems, including EHSQ requirements.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping across the yard, tank farms and bunds, including routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring DGSA requirements are met.
  • Working with internal departments and external contacts to support the efficient day-to-day running of logistics operations.
  • Ensuring all drivers complete the required pre-entry site checks.
  • Handling chemical samples safely in line with procedure.

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • An FLT License and relevant experience required.
  • Computer skills with a focus on MS Word, MS Excel, SAP and SharePoint.
  • A strong commitment to safety standards and safe working practices.
  • Effective planning, prioritisation and personal organization skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • The ability to work using own initiative.
  • Clear communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
