Safety & Compliance Logistics Specialist

The responsibilities will include:

 

  • Obtain, maintain and ensure compliance with transportation operating authority, licenses, permits and credentials with government agencies
  • Oversee and administer regulatory compliance programs such as DOT drug and alcohol and FMCSA CSA program
  • Oversee and administer regulatory qualification and fitness documentation, files and programs
  • Oversee transportation insurance requirements, regulatory submissions and reporting and claim management.   
  • System administrator of Synergi for logistics group
  • System administrator for logistics DMS and IMS systems and protocols
  • Conduct compliance review and assessments of logistics operations compliance
  • Oversee compliance programs for fleet equipment CT standards
  • Support logistics operations team in incident investigations and RCA, Review incident cases
  • Develop standard operating procedures, programs and standards for logistics operations
  • Develop and maintain training programs and protocols compliant with regulation and company standards for logistics operations
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and direct protocol for compliance for logistics
  • Conduct periodic group safety meeting for both management and operative personnel

What you need:

 

  • Minimum 10-years of experience in trucking industry
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Good math skills
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of other regulatory requirements, OSHA, EPA, DEP
  • Thorough knowledge of hazardous materials regulations
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Competent computer skills
