We are now looking for an experienced (Sr) Project Manager, EMEA (all genders) within our Industry & Water segment to join our Engineering & Technology team. The main purpose of this role will be to plan and implement major investment projects and to lead, manage and deliver these projects safely, on time, within budget and fit for purpose. In this position you will directly report to the VP Engineering & Technology, Industry & Water. This position can be based in one of our locations in Europe such as Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, or United Kingdom. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Project management within our Industry & Water segment according to Kemira’s guidelines, standards and procedures 
  • Planning and implementation of major investment projects 
  • Leading, managing and delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and fit for purpose
  • Managing internal and external project team members including contractors
  • Delivering feasibility studies and plant design concepts for strategic projects
  • Optimizing and improving process steps and plants related to EHSQ principles 
  • Being the interface for all project related stakeholders and maitaining trustful relationships 
  • Project controlling, reporting and claim management

 

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • University degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, EICA or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional experience (> 10 years) in chemical and/ or process industry 
  • Proven track record demonstrating project management experience (> 7 years) in planning and construction of plants
  • Very good analytical skills and the ability to manage extensive planning environments & schedules successfully 
  • Good understanding and frequent user of related IT-systems, such as SAP, CAD/CAE-Tools, MS Office and MS Project
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills cross-functional and within team
  • Excellent English skills, both verbal and written 
  • Willingness to travel according to project demands within EMEA, potentially including periods of temporary settlement at the project site
