We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Pulp & Paper segment. Your main responsibilities will include the commercial sales of chemicals to selected pulp and paper mills in Germany/Switzerland with full responsibility for revenue and profitability. You are also leading a group of Sales staff, working directly with the customers in their respective area. In your area, you will assume responsibility for maintaining and developing existing customers and the acquisition of new applications. You technically and commercially evaluate sales potentials and support an intensive market observation. Finally, the maintenance and administration of the CRM system as well as project coordination within an international group of application experts, is part of this role.

What you need:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in the commercial field, alternatively in Paper Technology or Chemistry plus a minimum of 5 years successful track recording in proactive B2B selling of paper chemicals
  • Desire to lead a team in a direct line management relationship and succeeding together in an international and cross-functional group
  • Strong collaboration, solution selling and relationship building capabilities
  • Stratigic thinking, ability to develop and drive a concept through to commercial offer and successful conclusion
  • Ability to communicate in German and English in an international business environment
  • Willingness to travel (up to 80% of the activity within Germany)
