Commercial Director in Packaging and Hygiene Solutions Business Unit for the EMEA Central region

 

The Packaging and Hygiene Solutions business unit focuses on, among others, the growing renewable solutions market, particularly packaging, where Kemira’s renewable product offering supports customers on their sustainability journey. This position is dedicated for the region covering selected Eastern and Central European countries in addition to export business to Middle-East and Africa.

 

This role is a strategic leadership position within the regional commercial team including the prioritization and alignment of resources for the execution of regional sales and service operations within chosen strategies in the region. The position promotes and commercializes Kemira’s expertise in application of paperboard making chemistries, paperboard making systems and processes and ensures the offered technology portfolio provides customer satisfaction and aligns fully with regional business goals and objectives. This position is located preferable in Commercial region country close to Kemira production site or commercial office and will report to the Head of Commercial, Packaging and Hygiene Solutions, EMEA. Remote location can be also discussed when we can see possibility to execute this position effectively including ability and willingness to travel in EMEA Central region, mainly Austria, Italy, Poland and other CEE countries.

 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead and develop sales team(s) to achieve designated sales objectives
  • Develop sales and implement sales plans, activities, and campaigns and lead the operational activities for an assigned geography, market segment, or particular customers.
  • Define customer needs for Kemira chemicals, digital solutions and services with sustainability focus 
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and targets. Monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources
  • Negotiate sales with existing and potential customers and actively liaise with customers 
  • Contribute to the development of sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility through provision of market intelligence and customer information
  • Occupational safety in Commercial operations where everyone will contribute for better safety

 

What you’ll bring to the team:  

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Technology, Chemistry, Economics or similar
  • +7 years experience in leading diverse and multinational teams
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, persuation and influencing skills 
  • Strong ability to inspire and coach others
  • Ideally knowledge and experience of the Pulp & Paper business
  • Fluent English skills, any additional language from the region is beneficial
  • Willingness to frequent business travel
  • Applicants must hold a valid residence and work permit for EU/EEA
