We are now looking for an innovative, proactive and customer oriented Application Specialist (all genders) to strengthen the Application support team in our Pulp & Paper segment. The Application support team works in close contact with sales engineers as well as other members of the Application support teams in EMEA providing technical expertise and solutions to customer’s needs. The position will report to the Manager of Applications & Marketing Pulp & Paper EMEA South and the position will be based in Germany.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical product expertise to successfully develop and implement complex product or service solutions based on customer’s needs.
- Developing proposals outlining how products and services can be integrated and implemented with the customer's existing systems and equipment.
- Developing and deliver training to educate customers and internal stakeholders on the features of the products or services.
- Estimating costs, resources, time, and technical requirements.
- Running laboratory tests and technical trials at customer locations including installation & maintenance support of equipment.
- Respond to highly complex customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation.
- Coordinating and supporting commercialization to ensure successful launches and rollout. Drive the development of new applications in region.
- Liaise with R&D in projects to ensure that products and services are developed, modified, configured, and implemented according to customer need.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in paper making processes or chemistry.
- Skills in papermaking wet end chemistry are essential.
- Work closely with local sales engineers and managers
- Knowledge on about chemical dosing equipment in paper making industry as well as automation and process control is seen as an advantage.
- Maintaining the proper level of safety and environmental awareness to do your job without causing injury to yourself or your co-workers or harm to the environment
- Engaging personality with ambition and high motivation to work independently
- High technical and service orientation, coupled with excellent communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel (up to 70%)
