We are now looking for a EHSQ Technician for our Manufacturing function.

This role leads maintenance and improvement activities to preserve asset conditions and ensure continuity of operations.

This position is located in Fray Bentos, Uruguay.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Conduct daily plant safety inspections.
• Coordinate and participate in scheduled safety inspections with personnel responsible for each area.
• Audit work permits procedures.
• Monitor compliance with current national regulations and Kemira HSEQ corporate standards.
• Follow up on corrective actions included in Synergi.
• Identify needs and coordinate HSEQ Internal and External training for personnel. Coordinate and execute visitors and contractors safety inductions and trainings.
• Plant safety equipment and PPE purchase management.
• Perform environmental controls and measurements.
• Monitor Occupational Health program execution.
• Coordinate the inspection of safety equipment and installations in all areas.
• Conduct audits of contractor companies.
• Evaluate the need for modifications to procedures and/or facilities, taking into account observations made by yourself or other members of the company.
• Participate in the development of safety plans.
• Participate in the identification of risks at different plants and for specific tasks.
• Report observed and recorded risk conditions and actions to management and department heads.
• Manage, coordinate, and participate in incident investigations.

Execute the instructions (oral and written) provided in a timely manner by your immediate supervisor.

Education, Skills and Working Experience required[SL1] :

• Tertiary/university education in careers related to the role: HSEQ Technician and/or Prevention
• Engineer in Occupational Safety and Health/ Technologist and/or Chemical Engineer
• Competent on occupational safety and hygiene in industry, workplace health, and environmental controls.
• Competent and/or training in management systems and ISO standards.
• Intermediate level of English or Portuguese (not exclusive) .
• Work experience in similar roles, preferably in industry.
