We are now looking for a Senior Specialist, Accounting to join our EMEA Finance & Accounting organization.
The Finance & Accounting function provides accurate, timely financial reporting and ensures compliance with global accounting standards and regulations. The function supports decision-making, transparency, and financial control across the organization, enabling reliable operations and strong governance worldwide. In this position you will fulfill an important role within the finance department by participating in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process and reporting for one of Kemira’s Polish subsidiaries.
This position is full-time, permanent and located in Gdańsk (Poland).
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing General Ledger accounting, account analysis, reconciliations, and key controls.
- Preparing monthly International Financial Reporting Standards reporting.
- Handling local statutory reporting, including financial statements preparation.
- Coordinating audit management and statistical reporting.
- Overseeing payroll and defined benefit obligation accounting.

Managing CIT, WHT, VAT, and other tax accounting, reporting, and compliance.
- Coordinating and/or managing external and internal (tax) audits.
- Acting as a local Finance representative and coordinating insurance.
- Participating in projects and supporting other duties as needed.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Degree in economics or a relevant education in accounting or tax accounting, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international company.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and Polish tax and accounting legislation.
- Very good skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Polish, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately under strict deadlines.
- Cooperative and proactive approach to teamwork.

- The base salary range for this role is PLN 12 800 -16 000 per month. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions. The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
