We are looking for a Director, Product Line Management, Coagulant for our Water Solutions business unit in the EMEA & APAC regions.  

 

Water Solutions business unit offers a wide range of innovative solutions to optimize all stages of the water treatment process, while safely achieving water quality targets and meeting constantly tightening regulations, serving both municipal and industrial customers globally. 

 

The role has a flexible location within the EMEA region, provided it is based in a country where Kemira currently operates, such as Finland, Sweden, Poland, Spain, France and the UK, preferably near a Kemira office or Manufacturing site.  

 

This leadership role is pivotal in shaping and executing our strategic coagulant product line roadmap. This role will chair an EMEA & APAC Coagulant Product Line Forum enhancing the coagulant product line coordination and collaboration across the Water Solutions business unit, and closely with the Packaging & Hygiene business unit. The successful candidate will steer profitability, drive competitiveness, foster sustainability across the product offerings and secure the long-term strategic objectives of this core Kemira Product Line.   

 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Coordinating across Kemira business units and regional Product Line organizations, ensuring that the Coagulant needs of both Water Solutions & Packaging & Hygiene business units are met, articulating a clear product vision and strategy, effectively communicating to team members and stakeholders to inspire and align efforts so that Kemira group-level strategy is successfully developed and executed. 
  • Leading people within Water Solutions Coagulant Product Line Managers and Product Line Specialist as direct reports.  
  • Driving product line profitability through strategic pricing, cost structure improvement, and robust financial oversight.  
  • Defining and developing a competitive product portfolio, overseeing the entire product lifecycle to ensure alignment with sales strategies, operational efficiency, and resource allocation. Integrating sustainability considerations into product development and operational practices, aligning with industry best practices. 
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders across Commercial, Business Development, Manufacturing, Research & Innovation, Sourcing, and Operations, in order to create a unified approach towards achieving common goals. 
  • Leading long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. 

 

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • Strong leadership in building and managing cross-functional, complex teams, with hands-on experience in the region.  
  • Ability to inspire and effectively lead and develop team of direct reports. 
  • Deep expertise in product line optimization, profitability management, and product lifecycle strategy, with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and executive-level communication skills (verbal, written, subliminal) to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant market trends, enabling informed decision-making and strategic foresight. Strong understanding of sales and technical service operations, particularly within the chemical manufacturing landscape, and proficiency in long-term capacity planning.  
  • Extensive, demonstrable experience gained over a substantial career in product line management, commercial operations, or closely related fields, with a proven ability to operate at a senior, enterprise level - preferably within manufacturing, finance, or business controlling environments. 
  • A master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. 
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to effectively foster growth and collaboration internationally.
