We are now looking for an experienced Business Controller to join our global financial planning & controlling team in Kemira’s CFO Organization, with focus on Group level management reporting and financial planning. The controller is expected to provide high quality and accurate management reporting to help the company to execute on the business plans by providing fact-based insights and information for strategic and operational decision making.

The position is located at Kemira headquarters in Helsinki. In this role, you will have the flexibility to organize your work between office and remote, in a hybrid work culture. 

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a pro-active key contributor in providing management reporting and insights, including Executive and Board level reporting
  • Managing and executing the monthly management reporting, target follow-up and various ad hoc analysis. Provide sound financial analysis and insights to drive fact-based decision making.
  • Controlling and monitoring the financial performance of the Group and business units.
  • Managing and executing the financial planning processes (monthly forecasting, annual business plans and long-term planning) on Group level, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flows.
  • Supporting and managing in financial KPI target setting and follow-up as part of the performance management process.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of group common financial planning, reporting and controlling processes, reporting structures, and related systems and tools. Ensuring standardized, efficient processes and harmonized, on-time automated reporting as well as accurate financial information availability to stakeholders. Facilitate the use of available tools and train stakeholders.

What you need:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, likely with major in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, in business controlling or similar
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in management accounting
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably also Finnish, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, ability to comprehend and analyze data and summarize the relevant information into conclusions and recommendations.
  • Ability to think strategically and being hands on in implementation and execution.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and tools. Excellent skills in Excel & PowerPoint & ThinkCell, preferably also SAP S/4 and common financial planning and analytics related tools.
  • A mindset of striving for continuous improvement of processes and tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules
