We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our Direct Sourcing EMEA team!
In this role, you will drive the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for raw materials critical to Kemira’s strategic sourcing lines. This position is essential for ensuring cost competitiveness, service performance, supply security, and risk mitigation across our product lines. The position is based at our headquarters in Helsinki.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies and concrete plans that align with business objectives and deliver value for the organization.
- Building and maintaining a sustainable and reliable supplier base for assigned categories, lead the evaluation, selection, and development of strategic and key suppliers to drive performance.
- Establishing, managing and developing solid relationships with internal stakeholders and drive business alignment.
- Driving impact as part of a dynamic and agile sourcing team, contributing strategic value across product lines.
- Leading cost optimization initiatives, supplier selection, contract negotiating and market benchmarking. Taking responsibility for an annual spend of over 25 million euros, ensuring effective cost management and supplier performance.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- A Master’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a commercial environment within multi-national global chemical companies.
- A proven track record of delivering year-over-year commercial value improvements, such as cost savings.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and secure buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify critical issues and develop effective methodologies for collecting and analyzing data.
- A natural ease in working in multinational environments, both as part of a team and independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and persuade, build strong relationships, and make sound decisions under pressure while constructively challenging the status quo.
- Ability to finalize difficult negotiations into solid contracts.
- Readiness to travel internationally.
