We are now looking for a Sr Product Line Manager for our Bleaching Chemicals. In this strategic role, you will drive and ensure profitability and optimized cash flow with a competitive product portfolio. You will manage the entire lifecycle of Chlorates and Peroxygens products, participate in sourcing strategies, and ensure uninterrupted supply and optimized manufacturing. By optimizing the network globally this position can contribute heavily to the success.
You can be based at any of our local offices across EMEA.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Portfolio Management: Proactively manage and own the product portfolio, including specifications, recipe approvals/changes, and PSRA, to ensure a competitive global product lineup. Actively look for opportunities to improve products’ footprint to drive towards Group sustainability targets.
- Price Guidance: Responsible for price guidance with a deep understanding of market prices and changes in the customer and competitor landscape. Collaborate closely with commercial teams.
- Capacity Allocation: Make capacity allocation decisions to optimize group-level cash flow and guide commercial teams across business units.
- Financial Management: Oversee GM and NWC management and drive for continuous improvement
- Strategic Vision: Articulate and drive a clear vision and strategy for the product line, communicate outcomes and roadmaps to stakeholders, and coordinate with management to inspire and align efforts.
- Market Analysis: Understand and analyze market prices, predict changes, and communicate insights to optimize product line profitability.
- Electricity optimization: Drive the electricity optimization in the Bleaching processes
- Decision Making: Participate in make-or-buy decisions, investment, and expansion projects. Contribute heavily to operative decision making day to day as well as close interaction with BU management on strategic guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with BU management, Commercial teams, demand and supply planning, manufacturing, sourcing, and SCM to support decision-making and improve commercial competence.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Market Insight: Comprehensive understanding of the Pulp market space, enabling informed decision-making and strategic foresight. Willing to learn and adopt quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and executive-level communication skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Ability: Hands-on approach with the ability to produce high-level, detailed analyses and insights tailored to diverse audiences.
- Systematic Approach: Ability to build and analyze and synthesize clear messages, and create a vision for stakeholders. Well organized way of working to manage multiple tasks on hand.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in guiding stakeholders to the wanted direction. Ability to provide technical support with ability to set scope, manage priorities, reach consensus and drive and deliver results.
- Operational and technical understanding: Strong understanding of operations within Bleaching chemical manufacturing and the Pulp market landscape, with competence in long-term capacity planning.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in product line management, commercial operations, or related fields, preferably within manufacturing, finance, or business control.
- A master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Advanced knowledge of tools and systems (e.g. Excel, BW, SAP, ProFlow).
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate and influence decision-making across different functions.
- Technical understanding in Bleaching Chemistry and Pulp markets
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of autonomy.
