We are now looking for a Sr Business & Market Development Manager to join our Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit.
Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit specializes in innovative solutions that enable customers to create fiber-based products suited for a circular economy and replacing plastics, while optimizing resource efficiency, product performance, and quality. The business unit serves paper, board, tissue, and molded fiber packaging manufacturers across the globe.
This position is based in the EMEA region, preferably at our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland or near one of our local offices, for example in Frankfurt, Germany or Strasbourg, France.
You will report to the EMEA Head of Business & Market Development within the Commercial Development team of the Packaging and Hygiene Solutions business unit.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Developing and executing growth plans for the region and segments, together with Sales & Application, Product Line Management and Product Development

Building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities aligned with strategic priorities and portfolio needs
-
Driving market intelligence by monitoring market trends, customer needs, technology developments, and regulatory changes and translating insights into growth opportunities
-
Leading commercialization of new products and solutions from concept to market launch, driving customer adoption and profitable growth
-
Partnering with commercial teams to identify target customers, develop customer value propositions, and prioritize customer engagement and trials
-
Acting as the commercial business owner for development projects, ensuring customer, market, competitive, and business case assumptions are continuously validated and translated into measurable business outcomes

Identifying and evaluating partnerships, collaboration and inorganic growth opportunities to strengthen the portfolio and capabilities
-
Supporting strategic decision-making through market analysis and actionable recommendations
What you’ll bring to the team:
-
Proven experience in business and market development, commercialization, product management, or related commercial leadership roles within an international B2B environment
-
Strong knowledge of the paper, board and tissue industry as well as paper chemicals
-
Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and turn market insights into business cases, portfolio decisions, and profitable growth initiatives
-
A track record of commercializing new products and delivering measurable business results
-
Ability to act as a business owner for development projects by validating business opportunities and ensuring alignment between customer needs, development activities and growth objectives

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize market, customer, competitive, and financial information into clear recommendations and decisions
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, engage, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams in a matrix organization without direct authority

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage customers, partners, and senior leadership effectively

Availability for international travel to support customer engagement, opportunity development, and collaboration across the EMEA region

The starting salary range for this role varies by location. For positions based in Finland, the range is EUR 7,300 to EUR 8,500 per month. For positions based in Germany, the range is EUR 124,000 to EUR 145,000 per year, and for positions based in France, EUR 98,000 to EUR 115,000 per year. The actual starting salary will be determined based on factors such as relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, as well as business and organizational needs. Salary ranges may also vary depending on local market conditions.
