We are now looking for a Sr Product Line Manager, Strength for our Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business Unit.
You will take the lead in developing, implementing, and executing a strategic product line roadmap to drive competitiveness and profitability. You will work on both technical and commercial aspects, including managing the product portfolio, guiding pricing strategies, and ensuring portfolio profitability. By collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, you’ll align efforts and contribute to achieving shared business objectives, making a tangible impact on the company’s success.
You can be based at our headquarters in Helsinki or at any of our local offices across the EMEA region.
In August 2024 Kemira announced changes to its operating model to better meet profitable growth ambitions. This open position will be part of the planned new organization which will be effective as of Jan 1, 2025.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive product line strategy and roadmap.
- Managing the product portfolio lifecycle, including planning, development, and optimization.
- Driving commercial initiatives such as pricing strategies, product mix management, and make/buy decisions.
- Ensuring and optimizing product line profitability and overall performance.
- Supporting long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining fulfillment strategies and service level standards.
- Contributing to operative optimization, including input to the S&OP process and volume allocation.
- Managing product line claims and ensuring effective resolution processes.
- Serving as a key user and contributor to the continuous improvement of product line processes.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- A university degree in papermaking, chemistry, or a related field, combined with strong computing experience.
- A foundation of both technical and commercial understanding.
- Experience in strategic and analytical thinking.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact within a multicultural organization.
- Strong influencing and coordination skills to drive projects forward.
- Fluency in Business English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- A commitment to embracing and demonstrating our Leadership way of living, behaving, and acting.
- Dedication to success and a strong commitment to supporting the Product Line Management (PLM) team.
- Familiarity with SAP and other systems (e.g., Proflow) is beneficial.
- Financial acumen to support effective decision-making.
