We are now looking for a Senior Product Line Specialist to join our EMEA region Product Line Management organization in Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business Unit. 

 

Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit specializes in innovative solutions that enable customers to create fiber-based products suited for a circular economy and replacing plastics, while optimizing resource efficiency, product performance, and quality. The business unit serves paper, board, tissue, and molded fiber packaging manufacturers across the globe.  

 

In this role, you will take the lead in developing, implementing, and executing a strategic product line roadmap to maximise growth, profitability, competitiveness and long-term value creation. You will be accountable for portfolio strategy development, portfolio performance management, supply and operations guidance and product stewardship. 

 

Your work will include both technical and commercial responsibilities, such as portfolio strategy development, product portfolio optimization, product pricing, mix and volume management, leading growth projects, optimizing manufacturing capacity and ensuring product quality. By collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization, you’ll align efforts and contribute to achieving shared business objectives, making a tangible impact on the company’s success. 

  

Preferred location is at our headquarters in Helsinki. Remote work is supported, with some travel expected to facilitate collaboration and support regional team growth. You will report to the Director, Product Line Management. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive product line strategy and roadmap.
  • Managing the product portfolio lifecycle, including planning, development, and optimization.
  • Driving commercial initiatives such as pricing strategies, product mix management, and make/buy decisions.
  • Ensuring and optimizing product line profitability and overall performance.
  • Supporting long-term capacity planning and footprint optimization initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining fulfillment strategies and service level standards.
  • Contributing to operative optimization, including input to the S&OP process and volume allocation.
  • Managing product line claims and ensuring effective resolution processes.
  • Serving as a key user and contributor to the continuous improvement of product line processes. 

  

What you’ll bring to the team:  

  • University Masters degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • A foundation of both technical and commercial understanding build through 3 – 7 years of work experience in similar roles. Knowledge in paper chemicals is an advantage.
  • Experience in strategic and analytical thinking and ability to take ownership.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to effectively drive changes with various stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Strong influencing and coordination skills to drive projects forward.
  • Fluency in Business English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Financial acumen to support effective decision-making.

  • If the position would be based in Finland, the starting base salary range for this role is between EUR 4400 to EUR 5300 per month. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions.
  • The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
