We are now looking for Strategy Managers for our new Strategy & Sustainability function.
In this role, you will drive our key strategic initiatives across corporate and business unit levels, shaping our company’s long-term direction. You will support strategic planning, M&A activities, and data-driven decision-making to ensure alignment with industry trends and sustainable growth goals.
In August 2024 Kemira announced changes to its operating model to better meet profitable growth ambitions. This open position will be part of the planned new organization which will be effective as of Jan 1, 2025.
You can be based at our headquarters in Helsinki or near any of our local offices across the EMEA region.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the formulation of strategic plans and initiatives at both the corporate and Business Unit levels.
- Supporting the sourcing and evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Conducting in-depth market research to identify industry trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape within our target markets.
- Analyzing data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and foster collaboration on strategic initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive and support key strategic projects and initiatives.
- Preparing reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings and strategic recommendations.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex issues, analyze data, and diagnose business problems to identify root causes and develop innovative, actionable solutions.
- Strategic mindset and the ability to assess future trends and opportunities, including evaluating potential M&A targets for alignment with strategic goals such as market expansion, product diversification, and technology acquisition.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create compelling strategic reports, proposals, and executive summaries that effectively convey key messages. You’re able to articulate complex ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in strategy, business analysis, or a related role, ideally in consulting or within the chemicals or other process industries.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) to support data-driven insights.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
